Clio Reverse Lights Stuck On

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any knowledge they can share.

Just got told my reverse lights are stuck on, when I was driving down the road.

I have a Renault Clio Grande (98-01).

Any ideas what could be causing it/how to fix it. My dad's willing to take a look so just trying to grab any info before hand

Assuming your car is a manual gearbox, it's probably a failed reversing light switch on the gearbox.

Fairly simple to change (if not access - some cars are a pain to get at it) and relatively inexpensive. It generally unscrews (fairly big spanner needed) from the gearbox, or maybe even the gear lever housing itself.
