Repairing a Cracked Blender Jug

Got a heavy-duty blender but the jug as a thin crack in it. You can just about feel the crack, which will one day open up!
Can someone recommend a food-safe adhesive type product to 'paint' over the crack? No need for an expoxy-type filler, just a way of putting a 'skin' over the crack. Most epoxies aren't food-safe, anyway.
Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't try to mend: I'd go to the manufacturor's site & see if they do spares.
If "no longer this season's model", or just "no", then I'd try ebay etc. I'd even buy a good for parts only twin if the jug was perfect.0 -
Is the jug plastic or glass? If glass, I'd discard it. Plastic may be possible to solvent weld however with acetone and I've had good results with this in some cases. Just wipe a little on the broken edges and quickly push together until it sets. Assuming acetone will melt the plastic, it depends on the type. Doesn't leave any residue or glue either.
However, spares might not be expensive new. eBay can turn them up too, either as spares or perhaps as a cheap identical broken model you can take the jug from?0 -
Have you tried espares.co.uk to see how much a replacement is?0

Thanks for the replies.
The blender is an 'Omniblend', which I was lucky enough to get from a friend, it retails for over £200! A replacement jug goes for about £70. I know....shocking!?!?!?!??!
Constantly checking eBay, Gumtree....etc
A friend's getting me some food-safe silicon sealant, so I'll see how that goes. If no luck, then out comes the debit card!
Thanks again.0
