I'm cheap. I want a current photo of my lads, in civvies, clean & being friendly.

If they feel like making me a posy of felt flowers, (the last ones are still cherished on a brooch mount), I might have a second brooch, or a small "desk posy".

If they can't face washing & smiling for the camera, then I'll settle for "cheques" for mugs of tea... (Told you I was cheap!)
  • I've been organised (for once in my life) I bought this plaque I saw linked on facebook so got it before I forgot!

    It's lovely :)

    Aww that's cute.

For my Mum, I've got her 2 balls of knitting wool (£3 from shaws) and I made a special trip to L'Occtaine to collect their free gift which was featured in Martin's weekly email a couple of weeks ago (3 tiny hand creams).

For MIL I've got a candle in a dome thing £2.

I'm thinking I might venture down town and pick up a small/medium slab of hotel chocolat chocolate to go with it for both of them, and then get a small bunch of daffodils for my Mum and Tulips for MIL, but I haven't completely decided yet.

They've got a sale on at Body Shop which I'm tempted by but mother in law has sensitive skin and I got her the hemp stuff for her birthday so it would be a bit samey.

I've told hubby not to bother getting me anything for mothers day from my son (he's 2) but instead we're going to go to a carvery place which I hear is really good. It's £8.95 each but little one won't have to pay so a pint of coke each on top and a fruit shoot, and it won't be too much but it will still be a nice treat :)

We all live to have nice special family day. That's the best gift! Rather then bought stuff... Except the chocolates :rotfl:(but that's - for me)

I have brought both my mum and MIL the same.
Done a gift bag each and then we are thinking of having them over for lunch - or maybe go for a carvery.

    Gift bags have in:-

Radox smoothies bath soak (which I got for 99p)
Aromatherapy candles (which I already had)
Twinigs special tea (already had from hen party bags I have done)
2 x aromatherapy bath bombs (again already had from hen party bags)
    Exfoliating gloves (99p for two)
Going to make some homemade fudge and cookies - from the carnation website.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
    Mum to two boys :heartpuls

I've got my Mom the Brendan O'Carroll (Mrs Brown) books, The Mammy, The Granny, & the Chisellers (only £2.99 each from The Works). I threw in the Biography too for just £5.99. My Mom loves to watch Mrs Brown on TV (although she don't like the swearing), she actually thought he was a woman, bless :rotfl: The personalised card I bought with my free credits from Funky Pigeon, & only paid an extra 16p for it :D

I am making my mum and mil a birthday plaque, i have painted the sign and got some stickers made that say Family birthdays, and i have painted the hearts and printed names and dates of all the family birthdays. I hope they like it, to buy it would of cost about £30 but i have made it at about 1/6th of the cost. I will probably buy them some chocolates and flowers. I like to spoil my mums because they are special.

Unfortunately my mum passed away the day before my birthday in October and this will be the 1 st Mother's Day without her, it also happens to be her birthday on Mother's Day as well. So all in all not looking forward to the 30th march this year
