Building work estimation

I would like to get a sense of the cost of a project I need to undertake. We want to build a 1.5m brick wall and 2 pillars to support a gate. I have been told I will need about 1000 bricks and a 9"skin.
Any guidance on how long this should take and cost gratefully received.
