The first ingredient is "poultry meat meal" could be absolutely any part of the animal. I feed JWB and harringtons and I know they're perhaps not the best however both my two have super sensitive stomachs and after trying some 15 different brands/protein one can only tollerate ocean white fish and rice, the other salmon and potato. They can't even have the same kind as it results in runny poop!0

Funny you should mention this. I saw that it had gotten good reviews as well. I think if you email them they will be more than happy to send you a sample - unfortunately they wouldn't to me here in NI and told me to try and buy from Zooplus, but they charge delivery to here so I'm a bit stuck.
If you get a sample, post how it goes, the other thing that put me off from ordering is that it looks like the kibble is too large for a kong wobbler, which is the only way to feed Shadow without her choking herself due to her greed, but this obviously might not be an issue to you.
I've just recieved a sample of Millie's Wolfheart (they charge £1:50 and don't do 'freebies' but again, would charge me P&P were I to buy the full bags, grrr Arrggh) and Shadow loves it. Although she would eat mouldy cardboard so that can't be used as a recommendation.Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

No comment on the actual food, but it LOOKS like a bag of compost rather than Dog Food, doesn't it!!??
It'll certainly stand out on the shelf if that's its aim!!0 -
Thanks - I do not think of buying it for Zara, Zara is on Orijen Fish and staying on it, she is no good with chicken based food.
Was just wondering seeing so many fantastic reviews...if anyone else is using it and what their thoughts are.0 -
I asked the same last year - never got much joy in replies either!
Still not tried it yet......
It is cold pressed which is supposed to be better most others are extruded.
"lee11s" Meat "Meal" is ok it's the derivatives that you are thinking of the link below explains well about various ingredients.

I bought 2 bags from Zooplus last month - mine were previously on Fish4dogs which seemed to have got very oily recently. My dogs don't wolf it down, probably because the texture is different - it isn't as hard as baked kibble. The size varies from .5 cm to about 1.5cm. They've gone through a bag of the Black Angus version and I'll be trying the NaturNah next week.
Poops (and I know this is important!) are about the same, maybe a tad softer."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -
I was impressed by the rave reviews and decided to get two bags for £60 from Zooplus last September. Both dogs absolutely loved it (Standard Schnauzer and Jack Russell x) but then again they aren't fussy eaters, bless 'em.
I was really looking forward to fewer poos, and I even read one review that said the poo didn't smell - imagine that!
However, I have found they do more poos than ever before, big dog now does two on a walk, which she never did before. She has also been losing condition, really thin round her back end, even after increasing the quantity. Just after Christmas I bought a bag of Skinner's duck and rice which they were on before and have started the process of weaning them back on to it. The Markus Muhle is nearly finished and I won't be getting any more.
I'm really disappointed as I'd been dithering for nearly a year before finally buying it (had hoped to buy locally rather than online because of the pain of waiting in for deliveries but no local sources) but anyway, I've tried it now.I want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this

We have just started our border collie on it and he really likes it. It is heavier than most other kibble and I was worried he might get an upset stomach as he can be a bit sensitive to changes. I was attracted as the cost per day was lower than some of the other kibble, but nutritionally seemed pretty good. So far, so good and I'll report back on coat condition etc.0

I'm sort of the same, amibovvered, not a one of the top foods listed on which dog food are stocked in either p@h or Jollyes, and although I know for a fact that Shadow would eat anything that was put in front of her - the expense of p&p is off putting to give these foods a try to see if she would thrive and I don't want to chop and change with them either.
She's currently on Arden Grange large breed puppy and the top foods recommended were Eden, Canagan, Gentle dog food,Millie's wolfheart, Markus Mhuele and nutriment but due to not a stockist here, I think I will be changing to Skinners in a few months.Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

We sell it at work and I know a few of the staff feed it. The maize put me off but the Whichdogfood website says it's been processed differently so isn't considered as bad as usual0
