Switch to OVO

Hi,

On the 26th of February my supply is supposed to switch from npower to ovo.

I was told that I would get an e-mail from ovo requesting a meter reading but up to today nothing has appeared.

Both suppliers tell me that the transfer is fine so far.

On which day should I provide ovo with a meter reading?
The first day of their supply or the last day of Npower's supply?

Is that not the same? You must have a ginormous consumption if a single overnight usage matters !

The new supplier will contact you if they want a second reading on the dates the contracts change - or, very often, they will just extrapolate the readings you gave from the date when you applied.

I got an email from Ovo the 2 days before my switch date (11th Feb) asking for my meter readings. However since then I have had no confirmation they are actually now my supplier other than the fact my Scottish Power account shows up as closed. When I log into My Ovo it says they don't supply me for Gas and Electricity yet they emailed me again today for another meter reading.

Not too impressed at the moment.
