Just ask your solicitor to reply to his, saying you look forward to exchanging contracts, once the following list of items that your solicitor is awaiting has been supplied by him\his solicitor.0

Stop saying "we can't"0

Some people just don't bother reading the original post! .
Some people like me, do read the post. Some people like me, who buy and sell property get fed up with buyers not exchanging and completing.
It's down to the buyer to get onto the solicitor and push things along. Seriously, there is no reason that house sales should take so long these days, you can have a surveyor within a week, searches done online within days and all communication by instant email.0 -

But not if the vendor's solicitor is slow and will not reply to questions. That is outside the buyer's control.0 -
Our solicitor was just bemoaning that he faxes and emails the vendor's solicitor with everything, then gets replies via post... Last one turned up on the 21st the letter being dated the 18th in reply to a question faxed and emailed on the morning of the 14th... Each question is taking about a week to get a reply to (admittedly, some of this is the vendor not communicating with their solicitor, but there's no excuse for not using speedy methods of communication).0
