Igo4 Insurance

its renewal time and my premiums has risen at current insurers (after 3 years) and doing dummy quotes found the above as the first cheapest (nearly 35% cheaper) than my renewal quote.

Second was esure and third Shelia's wheels. was wondering if any one on the board have policy's with Igo4 and how they found their service and if any one has had to contact them for a claim and how they found their handling of the matter?

  • They are a broker and whilst they may pass you to an accident management company if you are in a non-fault accident any normal claim would be handled by the insurer they place the business with.

Remember to go back to your own insurers and do a new business quote as well as seeing if theyll price match the lower quotes your now getting elsewhere
  • Might be interesting to read their terms and conditions, especially check admin fees for change of car/address, this is where really cheap quotes sometimes bite you in the behind, but not a problem if you're certain you won't be doing either, and from your own history know the chances of a claim are very remote.

Secondly are you comparing apples with apples, excesses the same, excesses different whether accident or theft, windscreen cover for around £70, courtesy car etc etc.

Yes, i will definitely be asking my current ones if they willing to match cheapest quote.

I would like a get idea of the companies i mentioned in my first post as although i have read many many posts about them. i really do appreciate the posts on here by the regulars.

my current insurers have been really good in the past 3 years in terms of service and communication (they even a gave me a refund when they found out about a error they had made (very rare of insurance companies to do so) but really can't justify to sticking with them when i am getting 35% cheaper premium quotes.

T&C's are about the same as current Insurers, whilst i had planned on a buying a new car this year, it will put on hold until at least 2015 as family deserve a very nice holiday and we going to see my wifes family in south east Asia. so circumstances regarding changes i doubt will happen atleast this year.

yes the dummy quotes run are as identical as i can get to my circumstances without computer quotes recognizing me :rotfl:

Esure and Sheilas Wheels are different brands of the same company - though their terms are slightly different.

Both do both direct insurance (as the preference) but also act as a broker for the business they dont want to write themselves so check both to see who the actual insurer is.
