  • Good 'Sunny' Morning to you all!

    Happy Birthday Julie :)

Doesn't the Sun make you feel a bit happier? Makes me think of all the lovely Spring days ahead.

Bed linen on the line and clean on the bed. DH stripped the wall in the lounge yesterday ready for re papering. Hopefully he will do that today as I am quite excited about the change. Sad I know :)

As it was just DS2 and me for dinner last night I did HM spicy wedges (which were delicious), pizza, HM coleslaw and halved tomatoes sprinkled with oil and mixed herbs (don't know what they are called).

    Mince for dinner tonight.

    Morning all,

Julie, have a lovely birthday. I hope the weather is as nice for you there as it is here. I might take the 'Girls' for a walk later.

Youngest daughter went to see Nan yesterday. She is happy there which is a blessing.

Have a good day all :-)

    Hi all,

    Happy birthday Julie x

Moorhen - I havn,t bashed it with a book - too much of a wimp - was thinking I might paint a flower on it and pretend its a corsage LOL

Sunny here, took car in for a service this morning so will be an expensive day.

DD is out on her driving lesson, she,s chuffed because the instructor said she can drive home today - good job my car isn,t on the drive ;)

Have ironed away the washing mountain - need a week off more often - off to sort the socks now - I swear with the amount of missing socks they must be forming a layer of insulation somewhere.....

Have a fab day all x

    Hi everyone,

Missed posting yesterday, our internet has been playing up - their end I think as the Tivo box has also had problems. That brings back memories - of mum and dad saying "don't thump the TV it's their end" you'd have a bit of difficulty finding somewhere to thump on today's flat screens.

I'm still finding it very hard to do more than the bare essentials but I'm trying not to let it bother me. DH is working from home today which is nice for the company.

Not a lot else to write about, have a good day everyone.

Didn't get on yesterday as I was feeling poorly :( So I need to catch up on the goss from yesterday.

DH and DS are next door helping him put up a fence and DD is at work so I have had the house to myself all morning and have stripped the beds and the bedding is fluttering on the line :) Last load is doing the final rinse now so I will put that out in a little while.

Surprising how much you can do when no one else is in the house and you put a CD on :)

Just do the bare essentials, then. It's been a difficult time for you, give yourself a break, take a time-out and you'll feel all the better for it.
Enjoy having DH for company, too; Mr LW's job has changed a bit in that he no longer does the shifts, so I don't get him wfh a couple of days a month any more.:(

Good news is that I got a call last night - can Jessie please come to stay next Thursday evening, instead of Friday? Like... er... Is the Pope a Catholic??:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hi chums just back from the cinema we saw the Lego movie The youngest Mikey loved it and also the almost 14 year old but the other two boys were a bit indifferent. Not bad but really for smaller children I think. But it was an afternoon out.Tempreture has dropped quite a bit and its a cold wind blowing.I made some soup this morning and used up some bendy parsnips and a couple of wrinkly apples, some stock,a dollop of lazy garlic and a sweet potato that needed using up and I have a delicious litre and a half of soup in the fridge.Tomorrow I shall make some carrot, lentil and coriander soup for next weeks lunches.I adore home made soup and its so cheap and easy to make and tastes so much nicer than tinned stuff.
I will also do some baking as well as my tins are looking very bare at the moment. The result of four boys being on half term from school :):):) I swear they have hollow legs those lads.I'm off to forage for some dinner now,I think I may have a ham salad as I have stacks of salad bits in the fridge.
    have a good evening everyone
