Hi,
I was added to the electoral roll at my current address on 17th February, but the CRA's won't update this information until April. I really want to begin building a good credit history in preparation for applying for a mortgage in 2 years time. I've never had a credit card before and was thinking of applying for the Aqua classic as they are designed for those with little or bad credit.
I am wondering if it will be ok to apply for this now, or if I should wait until after April when the ER appears on my file?
Which CRA do Aqua use, does anyone know?
Thanks

Wait until April and then check again. Two months extra won't make a great deal of difference if applying for a mortgage in 2 years and not being on the electoral roll could be fatal for your application.0

I would wait until April.
Do you have a bank account?
You could apply for a credit card with your bank.
They will rely on their own internal records as well as just the credit check so it's always a good place to start.
It might not give you the best credit card in the world with the best perks, but at least it's a start.0 -
I'm with nationwide and they declined me a card last year. It took them 8 years to give me a £500 overdraft.. Which they won't increase. Don't fancy my chances with them!!0
