Business Credit card

Hi, this might be a silly question, I have very recently joined as a partner in a very successfully LLP partnership. A few years ago I had trouble with my credit. At this moment in time, If I applied for a credit card for me personally I know I would get rejected.

The company want to supply me with a business credit card for petrol and expenses, is this possible for me to have one under the company's name or will it also look deep into my personal credit and then reject?


I've gone from very bad credit to fairly poor credit. I'm getting there slowly but surely.

Hope someone can shed a little bit of light on this.

Our company provides business CCs that are in our individual names but the company is responsible for receiving and paying the monthly bills and there is no check on individuals' credit ratings.

that sounds right to me. i suspect it will be the LLP that is deemed credit worthy.

assuming that is the case, trying to get a credit history developing yourself would be a good idea. perhaps try to get a credit card with a small limit and spend&repay&spend&repay just to get a track history developing.
