Sleeper Train London to Cornwall

Hello
At the end of September myself and son wish to take the sleeper train to Cornwall from London. We are coming from NZ, and I'm trawling the internet to find out how to get the cheapest tickets. I believe that you can book the fares three months in advance (is this right?). Does anyone know what is the lowest price these tickets go for? We do have F&F railcard but I believe I cannot use this. Thanks heaps! Karen

Since the line is currently out of action, you will not see any actual fares for a while. I suggest that you send an email to First Great Western, who operate it, asking them alert you when booking opens for the dates that are relevant to you. Oh: three months is an approximate figure, since the decision to open booking is fairly arbitrary.0

Pic 2 on the link is what's left of the railway line you want to use. As above, 3 months plus to repair0 -

Expected to be back in operation in mid April.

If you want the classic sleeper train experience, the ride to Fort William in Scotland is celebrated for the experience. If you simply want to get to Cornwall without spending all day on the road, there are plenty of flights to Newquay.0

Thanks, we do need to get to Cornwall. We will be coming over from Paris, so the sleeper would be easy and the times work (plus we don't use up any of our precious holiday time in travel). Just wondering what sort of price the cheapest tickets would be, to see if it's even feasible.0 -

(Sorry cant post link - add in dots and remove. Spaces)
Or alternatively you can buy a regular ticket for that train (I usually get return fares for about £70 booking in advance) and then upgrade to a double cabin subject to availability on the day for £50 single pp.0
