Video from ipod to pc( problems with playback)

A short video was filmed using a 4th gen ipod touch. It plays back well on the touch, everything is in sync.
I transferred the video file to both the pc and a Nexus 7, and on these devices the file is not in sync and it also stops for a few seconds quite often.
What do I need to do to get the video file to play well on both?
