Nhbc v house insurance

If you read the post of 02/09/15 carefully, it was explained that no action could be taken, because the original builder wasn't given a chance to see or rectify the faulty roof.Hi, I am having a similar issue with my house builder having past the 2 year warranty period. They say to contact NHBC but the damage value is lower than the NHBC minimum claim value. Did you have to go to the small claims court? Many thanks.
This is a general principle with many consumer claims: that the person/organisation which performed the service be given a chance to put it right before any other action is taken.0 -
Our NHBC agreement dated June 2008 states that defects costing more than £1000 indexed will be covered.
Does anyone know if this minimum figure includes VAT and what would be the current indexed value ?
