Same experience here - £4k in August, except the transfer showed up immediately on the seller's mobile phone app.0

Just wondering about this 'protection' with using the dealers finance company that would cover me if something went wrong with the car after purchase.
If you are considering doing this, you should check to make sure that the dealer and the people providing the finance are totally separate companies.
If the finance company and the car supplier are the same then you wouldn't get any section 75 protection.0 -
Last car i bought in August, I paid for the car in front of the seller using his pc to transfer 4k to his bank.
Depending quite how your bank's security works this may not be safe and I wouldn't risk it. The concern being that the seller could install key logging software on their PC to capture you login details and passwords.0 -
Good advice, I'm with nationwide and uses a card reader to give you a code you need to input.0
