Debt after 6/7 years

What happens to your credit score after 6 years of debt? And what happens to a CCJ?

After the date does it just drop off your file?

yes. Defaulted accounts just drop off 6 years after the default. CCJs drop off 6 years from the CCJ date.

  • Does that affact your credit rating?
  • This was going to be my next question, one would expect the credit score to go up almost overnight?

You don't have a credit score.

If you mean the fake number the CRAs make up, they are a marketing con. Ignore them.

  • One they gave gone, that will increase the chances of being accepted for credit. As long as there are no late payments or worse left on your report.
