Old-ish Hotpoint First Edition 800 WM51 Won't Drain

Shot in the dark here, I know, but wondering if anyone could give some advice. A few months back I bought a Hotpoint First Edition 800 WM 51 washing machine second hand (refurbished and repaired, or so I was told). This morning I ran a wash in it - one cat bed, slightly hairy. I know, I should have lint brushed it, but I didn't and I'm regretting that now.
Now, the drum in the machine won't drain at all. I've pulled the machine out from the wall and checked the outlet hosing. What I can detach I have detached and drained out to make sure there's nothing blocking it - it's not the hose hooked to the sink, nor the household plumbing that's at fault.
I can't detach the waste hose from the machine, and in their infinite wisdom Hotpoint have not put anything on the outside of the machine that allows me to access the filter. If I try to run a wash, the drum fills up and it goes through the motions, but it will not drain out. Does anyone know where I would find the filter in this model? I think that may be what's wrong here, but I can't access it to find out and at the moment I have one washing machine that's full of water.
I throw myself on your collective mercy. Please, can someone help?

Just give me all the bacon and eggs you have. Wait, wait. I'm worried what you just heard was, "Give me a lot of bacon and eggs." What I said was, "Give me all the bacon and eggs you have". Do you understand?

Location varies, but it's probably somewhere down the bottom, typically on the front or back face of the machine. If you can't see it or a door for it, then look at the front face down the bottom, it's probably behind some panel/trim that can be removed. It may also be possible to carefully tilt the machine and look inside it to locate the filter.0

You'll probably have to pull the pipe out of the drain, put it to floor level in a bucket and allow it drain. After that, bung up the end of a pipe so no more water leaks out.
Tilt the machine forwards so you can get underneath. Then trace your way backwards until you find either the blockage or fault.
I'm sure somebody could give you more help if you took photos of underneath, etc.0 -
... Not all machines have filters !
It could be the pump impeller has become clogged with the hair (most likely), it could also be the pressure switch and it could even be the programmer.
Those are the three things that could go wrong with a draining problem (I used to work as a white goods engineer).
Being as there are a number of possibilities and the fact you cant remove the drain hose I suggest you get a washer / white goods engineer out to rectify. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Can you hear the pump running to empty the drum? If so,can you be sure it is actually rotating?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
