BT Sport (standard Sky only)

Hi,

This relates to a BT Sport subscription only (ie. no phone/broadband) Anyone know whether this is:

1. credit checked (can't see anything on my Equifax or Experian)

2. Reported to the agencies on a monthly basis

Thanks.

  • I've had Sky phone/broadband/tv for a couple of years (tv much longer) and its never shown up on any report I've seen.
  • Strictly speaking its not credit as you have to pay in advance.
  • However, you should now be able to view your credit reports in HD, for an extra £10 a month.

    ^This!

But in all seriousness, I was never checked by Sky (although I joined in 2005) and was never reported to any of the CRAs.

I changed to Virgin Media last month, no searches have appeared yet, but a new account has appeared (from them), so they're definitely reporting to CRAs.

That's my thinking. For the record this doesn't relate to sky in any way, it's purely if you take out bt sport on their 12 or 15 per month one month minimum term for access over existing sky box and you are not currently with BT for phone or internet services.

They didn't mention scoring etc and guessing by the 1 month term and payment I. Advance that it is unlikely to appear on a report, but just wanted to see if Anyone has experience.

  • Hello,

I've got BT sport on sky and although i don't think they did a credit check when i set it up, they do report each month to Noddle. Nothing on equifax and not checked experian to confirm.

    Hope this helps you.

    Cheers
