in Credit cards
Hi,
I am in a situation where my credit card has been charged with £3000 of unauthorized transaction.
I came to know this because my card payment was denied this morning and HSBC CC depart told me that I am overused my limit.
Transaction were in name STUDIO(2) LONDON. which I did not recongize at first but when CC personal told me that is a photography studio. I recollected using them in year 2013 for a free photoshoot studio name is MeMe Studio address is
285-287, Grays Inn Road
WC1X 8QD London - King’s Cross
I used them last year to pay the photo during the shoot. They called me later on gave me offer of buy the remaining photo at very cheap price which we accepted and they took the payment over the phone and send me the CD which I received after sending them several reminder.
Now in 13th Feb same companyMeMe Stuido as confirmed by HSBC Dispute department has done 2 transaction of £1000 first and then £2000 2nd on my card. My card limit is £2500 ( Card is blocked now)
and I was shocked to death.
I told CC dept personnel that these transaction were authorized
.They said because I had used the merchant in the past this cannot be registered as Fraud and only be raised as dispute.
Next process is : HSBC will write to the merchant to provide the documentation and wait for 32 calendar days if they recv. anything they will sent it to me otherwise a case of dispute will be raised.
They also advised me to speak to MeME Studio and when I tried call them on number i had it is unreachable
then did some googling and found out below:

MeMe Studio scam
by Feeling ripped off in 23 June 2013
I was called up by MeMe studio after filling out a form to win a makeover session last year, the lady was very persuasive and the next thing I knew I was giving her my card details for a £70 deposit (biggest regret of my life). Next day at work, everyone told me I'd been scammed but
I was insistent it would be fine. I decided to use the "VIP makeover session" for a friends birthday 5 months ago. As we were going out later that night, we only brought 1 outfit to change into. We turned up on time, waited in the snow for 15mins, the guy finally arrived with a bag of McDonalds. He let us in and we sat there in the cold, the studio was dark, no music or atmosphere, no drinks or snacks offered. When he saw we had filled out only 1 outfit, he told us we were being "refused" from our session and would have to book another day. When I insisted we just take less photos as I had won this as a prize, he said it was in the terms and conditions. When I showed him the T&C's on my phone, that it didn't state "you will be rejected if you don't have 3-5 outfits", he simply waved his hand and said "well, it's in there..." We were promptly kicked back out into the snow and my friends birthday makeover treat ruined! So I've been trying for the last 5 months to get my deposit back, I've left countless voicemails, emails, sent several letters to request the refund on advice from Citizens Advice. Last week I was in the area and thought I'd walk past and see if it was operating and... it was empty!!! All the interiors stripped and only a few pictures and a sofa left. So to anyone who's already paid the deposit and not redeemed their session, I'm afraid your money is lost. These guys are nasty, con-artists who are out to steal good peoples money. I will not give up, but I have defintely learnt my lesson
Did some googling and found out company is insolvency notice in June Last year.

There's a lot in your post I can't follow.
But you say you told the credit card company the transactions were authorised - do you mean unauthorised?
Do you have the terms of the deal you signed up for? What was the cost and the payment terms?0 -
Whether HSBC choose to treat it as fraud or a disputed transaction doesn't really matter. Also it's not for you to try and contact the merchant concerned (which it seems is difficult anyway!)
If you are sure of you position, then simply stick to your position that the transactions were unauthorised. It will be for HSBC to prove that they were. Sounds like they will struggle.0
