Oh dear, what have I done?!

I have two male cats who, to put it mildly, don't get on. I took delivery of a parcel from Zooplus this afternoon and one of the items was a Kickeroo. I unpacked it and gave it to the old boy who, surprisingly, liked it! He's not fond of toys and playing - he's outdoorsy and much prefers the real thing! After a wee while he drops the kickeroo and has a rest. In the meantime, the little boy comes down and smells the kickeroo's catnip and gets all excited. So I gave him the toy and now he won't let it go! Big boy is looking all hurt and dejected and I feel terrible!
It's like giving one child a shot on a brand new bike then giving it to their younger (hated) brother. Can cats share toys or would I be better buying another one so they have one each? Or an I over-analysing?!!

I would buy another one, but I have a habit of over-analysing where our cats are concerned.
I got two different toys for our cats just before Christmas. I got a catnip filled mouse with feathers for Salem as he loves feathers and a ball thing with a feathery boa attached (that I smothered in catnip) for Gizmo as he loves his feather boa dangler. Within 2 minutes Gizmo dropped his and then took Salem’s mouse off him and I couldn’t get it back, Salem also looked all hurt. At Christmas I bought them identical a Kong catnip refillable ball with feathers each and finally I have bliss. They both play separately and Salem no longer sulks because Gizmo takes his off him.
I was looking at the kickeroo’s but was unsure if they were worth it. Think I’ll stick a couple on the list when I do my next order.0 -
I would definitely get another one. If they dont get on then your older cat may not play with it again once he smells the scent of the other cat on it.0

I've got 3 girlie cats and they've only just started playing together nicely and sharing their toys. I'd buy another one if they both really enjoy it. With Zooplus you can collect your points and use them to purchase toys. That's how Santa Paws came to visit this year.

I'll order another one! Although I wouldn't be surprised if Charlie boy claims them both!
I'd absolutely recommend the Kickeroo. I bought one because I was fed up being rabbit kicked and it does exactly what it says! Charlie even took off with the cardboard packaging because of the catnip smell. Good old kitty crack!
ETA - zooplus are selling them for £2.990 -
I bought mine when we still had 3, and they all just took turns. It didn't matter how much one of them had dribbled and rolled on it, the others still wanted to, and they were not chums.0

My local pet shop has them on offer at £2.49 this month. It's a leaflet they just stamp their details on so yours may too.
I was thinking about it. I'm definitely going to get them now.0 -
At 2.49 or 2.99 it's a real bargain, however, I managed to get the same effect with a regular toy and some added catnip. I bought a packet of catnip from sainsburys, rubbed a little bit on one of her other toys and a neglected scratching post, and was rewarded by kickeroo-like results. It lasts a fair while, too.
