An hour or two, Alot of companies ask for multiple tweets so it's fair as it's ok with them, I just copy paste from one window to the other so it only takes me 15 mins till I hit jail then go again when they release me, I see it just like daily comps, the odd company have banned me, 2 or 3 I think but I still win so I'm ok with it, it's easier than click to wins or normal fb/mse comps.

This week has been awful as I have to try and not get in jail because of the absolute comp and have to pace myself better.

Still had some good wins, Cash and kipling bag and some sweets and some fab kids books for baby, so it's worth the effort, Mse wins are rarer but bigger, had the 5* hotel break,fb this week had chocs and something, so a nice week and worth the effort.

I've totally dropped the mag dailies and click to wins bar the electronics as I'd rather concentrate on twitter and mse comps more so.

I win more on twitter than fb and it's easier for me, I'm very methodical and organised and am always caught up on mse so I can do the other bits I do.

My results are nothing compared to the twitter die hards they win tons and rt loads more than me, But I'm happy enough, I never socialise on twitter just fb so it makes things quicker.

I have to admit getting a bit confused by Rt'ing sometimes. It's like 'am I Rt'ing the same comp too much. and DQing myself?, or am I not rt'ing enough?' I wish it was made clearer sometimes when the companies put the tweets up.
I have had about 5/6 wins though, so I can't be too downcast about it :T
I've noticed a lot of the same names coming up, so they must be doing something right. but then again, I see a lot of the same names on Facebook come up too.
There must be a secret trick to it that we don't know about :rotfl:
BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

comping = nowt more thrillin' than winnin':T :j

So has anyone on her run a twitter comp themselves? What can you see and how do you pick a winner?

There's been a couple of people from this forum that have run comps on twitter. Would be nice if they added to this thread as I'm curious like you.

I don't keep retweeting by copying and pasting, but if I look at the timeline for a company and they have tweeted about it several times, I click the retweet button on each of their tweets. I don't know if it helps or not, but it doesn't take long.

I often wonder how they, pick a twitter winner?

By creating an account with RANDOM.ORG, you can upload a list of the contestants’ Twitter usernames, you then select the number of winners for the contest and RANDOM.ORG picks the winner

Yep theres a heck of alot of comps that the same names are on every one andalways the top tweet????

I do know however about a couple of companies who do pick a different winner if certain (hardcore compers) names come out.
((No i wont reveal who the companies are, sorry but its nothing to do with me, if thats how they want to do it, its up to them also theres a heck of alot of fake irish winners for irish companies, and i mean alot:mad:))
(obviously technically not allowed but as the owner of one these told me recently, we see if their fb and twitter accounts are just for entering competitions alone, and if they are then they are not the kind of business we want, we are trying to interest new business and customers)
Hmm definately wrong, but those few names would never know either way!
(and its happens ALOT with companies who are really after blogs and bloggers to enter so they can be promoted on their blogs, theres a certain 'london' blog who wins tons simply because of this!

Hence why i dont bother doing much on tw myself.
Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:

Do you think you get more and more entires if you retweet every time they mention the comp again, or do you think you still only get one entry?

Sometimes I will do one tweet, other times I do more, it depends on the competition but it hasn't had an effect on results as I have won when I've done both :)
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.
