Me and the future Ball and Chain managed to get a bag load of stuff for the kids at the weekend.

Popped into a shop called 'Home Bargains' which seems to be a chain store and got two carrier bags stuffed full of books, whistles, yo-yo's, crayons and colouring books for £23!
  • For my wedding last year I did personalised gift bags for each child s there were only about 8 under 7s at the wedding.

I spent about £6 on each one and all the parents commented on what a lovely idea they were and I did notice very quiet children!

I included colouring books and crayons (not felt tips though) age appropriate books, slinkys, toy cars, finger puppets, puzzle books for those old enough, rubber duck type toys for the very young. There's all sorts. If you look online.

  • We are going to have little activity bags for them, colouring etc... but also set up a Brio and Lego table in a corner somewhere so they can go and play!
