Thanks so much for the kind words,
Also thanks for the comments, I have gone to a solicitor and explained what I want to happen, and they have said that its not a uncommon request, they have drafted up a deed between the executors and the parent of the child due to inherit and this can be signed and will then sign over the responsibilities to the parent.

If it was not for this small point I could have done probate with out the need for solicitors.
any one reading this and thinking of passing it over to solicitors, its not been that bad of a job, more upsetting that a bind to do !

    Ian,

Am pleased you have the closure now that you sought. Good luck rebuilding your life after the loss of so many close relatives.

DD was given money by her grandmother which we put into an account clearly labelled re miss x so the money's were ring fenced from our own. At 18 we discussed with DD and put the funds into an account requiring her to sign plus one of the other two of us so that she can't just blow the money. The law on child trusts is different where we live, but this solution worked for DD.

Thanks Rob, for the kind words.

Bouncydog - I was after a closure, As executors you have a lot of responsibility. I did not want to have this added overhead of looking after a fund for 14 years.
Now I am able to hand it over to the father and he can invest it where he feels right and I am not held responsible. and get my closure to whats been a very hard 2 years.
