    I'd ask the ll direct. The la obviously won't be encouraging it but it sounds like you're not going anywhere and the ll is probably being charged too. The la doesn't deserve money for doing nothing

    Contact the LL at the address or other details you have for him. Tell them how much you're being charged, say that you're committed to remaining in the property - and have shown yourself to be a good tenant over the last x years, and say that you really don't want to pay hundreds of pounds to the LA for this (and neither does the LL, probably!). Suggest going onto a rolling tenancy, which will cost you nothing and is unlikely to cost the LL as much too.

    Once you have the LL's answer, you know what you're dealing with. If he insists on a new tenancy or otherwise it's eviction, then you have a choice whether to accept / pay, or move.
