Lesson learnt...

Hey guys,

Great forum. Full of so much info.

Background- 24, earn good money, saved up 20k for a deposit on a apartment in Cardiff bay.

Apply for a mortgage and I couldn't get one.

I signed up for experian credit report. And I have a outstanding ccj I didn't know about

£160 parking fine from parking eye company. I've paid the fine off but it's still on my credit report, will it be removed?

I've always had excellent credit / 0% credit cards! loans etc. Will it effect me now? Luckily I've got a mortgage sorted. :j

Johnno.

Unless you paid within one calendar month of the judgement date, then no, it remains for 6 years.

It's still saying on the report as a outstanding record, even though it's payed.

If you paid within one calendar month of the judgement date then you can apply to the court for a certificate of cancellation, and it will be removed.

If you paid more than one months after the judgement date you can apply to the court for a certificate of satisfaction, and it will then be marked as settled or satisfied on your report.

Either way, you have to provide the court with proof it's been paid before it is changed and that eventually updates your credit file.

Yes, you may well have been able to challenge or overturn it. Having paid may make that v difficult now, but may be worth looking into.
