NFU insurance Thanks

Have to say a big thanks to NFU insurance co. We had a vicious electrical storm 3 weeks ago which knocked out various electrical items, seems like almost a direct hit so we are grateful not to have the entire house burn't down. Now we started replacing the items straight away, and one of the shops asked if we were claiming on the insurance? To be honest we never thought that an insurance company would honour a claim for lighting strike but call it 'act of God', anyway called the local NFU office and No Problem!! So submitted claim with receipts (no crafty upgrades don't believe in that my dad would turn in his grave), and cheque came through 3 or 4 days later. Do you know it was lovely talking to a local office and not to someone (called Charles) in Bombay going through a script. Anyway you will probably find that NFU are not the cheapest but then cheapest isn't always best. PS out of interest nothing made by Sony was destroyed always thought they made good stuff.
