Electoral Roll

Hi Guys,

I own a house in Leeds and have been living in London for a few years while renting my property in Leeds.

Im planning on moving back in the next month and applying for some credit once i do.

Im thinking about registering on the electoral roll at my Leeds address early, before i actually move in. To make sure im on quickly.

Does anyone know how long this usually takes?

Would there be any negative in applying early?

The rolling register is updated monthly at this time of year. If you register before around the 10th of the month you then appear on the electoral roll from the 1st of the following month.

This then typically can take another 4-6 weeks to be updated by the credit reference agencies and reflected on your credit reports.
