Business Bank Account - Bad Credit

  • As an addition I must point out that I also applied for a Natwest account in branch in Evesham almost two weeks ago. After logging into online banking this morning I found that my second application had been approved for a Foundation account.

So not all bad at Natwest.

I applied for a NatWest Business Account through their Direct Business banking section on the 3rd January and it is only today (13th March) that they tell me my account application has been referred due to my personal credit history.

The average wait time is over 30 minutes to speak to them directly. An absolutely appalling service.

I applied for an HSBC business account on Thurs 27th Feb and had account numbers the following Tuesday. They were superb!

I would avoid Natwest. They lose parts of your application, forget to chase things up, and most importantly don't return communications.

    Thank you HSBC.

How many business accounts to you want?

This question gets asked a lot. The answer is usally to the try the same few banks.

The important thing is to make sure that everything else is in order i.e on the electoral role, have a well thoughout business plan etc..

Oddly I've heard of more success stories of people going with Santander than I have about Natwest/RBS Foundation account.

Here's a little guide on getting your stuff together and some of the options available - check the comments section.
