Style 6 payment late status contd

Good evening to everyone here on the forum. Just wanted to update you guys who gave me the brilliant advice on how to deal with a 6 payment late status on my credit report for at least 6 years. After 3 recorded letters and 2 phone calls to Style they called me today to state that the account should have defaulted in 2004 but they incorrectly recorded it on my credit report. The account will be removed from all 3 credit files by the end of the month!! So happy and relieved as this was beginning to stress me out but just want to thank you all for all your fantastic advice!! Bit annoyed that the account should have dropped off 4 years ago but better late than never. I now have one more query for you guys. (Sorry) I have 2 studio accounts which were on arrangements for many years, only recently reinstated onto normal payment terms. Experian and Equifax state AR started in 2010 but it goes as far back as 6 years ago on Noddle. I have a feeling the default date should be around 2010 which would mean it would still have 2 years left as a default. Which would be more detrimental to my credit file, 2 x 4 year old defaults or 2 x 4 year old arrangements?? Sorry so long winded. Trying to get myself as mortgage ready as possible!!

2 4 year old arrangements are not as bad as 2 4 year old defaults.
Well done on getting the account sorted.

Within the next couple of years the arrangements to pay would be better. But 6years after when the default should have been, defaults would have been better.
If you are hoping to apply for a mortgage/major credit before then I would leave as is. If it would be longer than that I'd be looking to argue that they should have had defaults placed back in 2010.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Sorry I didn't mean 4 year old arrangements. I meant until last month they were showing as arrangements for last 4 years on Experian and Equifax. Thinking about calling Studio and asking when the arrangements began just because of the way Noddle are reporting the accounts as 6 year arrangements. If it is 6 years or more of arrangements do you think there is anything I can do now that I have put the accounts back on normal terms. I really think it is the Style account that is having the worst affect on my credit score but just want things to look as good as poss by end of June when we're going for our remortgage0

Are these 2arrangements the only negative data on your file?
You might want to post on the mortgage board for advice on what deal you may get via a mortgage broker.
Ignore any score given by a CRA, it's irrelevant.:beer:0 -
I have an old provident account where the collector didn't call for payments so it progressively got later and later until it registered 5 payments late for 5 months in 2010. The account was cleared in dec 2010 over the phone as I was getting nowhere with the collector. Have written to provident who said it was correctly recorded on my credit file and referred it to ICO but as I have no proof they agreed with Provident. This acc shows on Experian and Noddle but don't think they report to Equifax as it's not on there. So apart from the 2 arrangements with Studio there is nothing bad. I do have a Vanquis card with a limit of £3000 which is now at £1500 but it takes ages to get the balance down with the interest rate. Haven't used it for a long time and it is now coming down by £60 a month. My last provident acc was settled in July 2011 (there's 4 in total on there but only one with late payments and that was when I had this certain collector. If I knew how to I would attach my credit report to here but I haven't got a clue how to!! :huh:0

It was originally just to say thanks for advice on dealing with Style account lol. I suppose I was just giving as much info about my credit report to see if I am in any sort of shape to get this remortgage sorted in July0
