By not paying the minimum payments this month and just making tokens, i could pay off an overdraft and not include it in the dmp. But im tempted to keep that money in an emergency fund. Hmmmm what to do...

    I'd vote emergency fund.

See I would probably vote pay off OD. Is it a reputable company who won't mess about though?

PS we are definately twins now, I'm also a keen golfer. 13 handicap. Just society now though, gave up my membership as it was getting a bit steep. Was down at 11 then though :D
  • Well ive been away for a while from here and its bad news I'm afraid. I slipped up big time with gambling. Slipped is underplaying it a bit! I completely screwed up.

Lost a further £1300. Been too ashamed to post on here. But I have been to Ga for two weeks now and am trying to be positive about it all. I am a compulsive gambler. and always will be so I have put measures in to stay away for ever. Big ask after two weeks but you have to start somewhere right?

My DMP is all set for a payment to go out this month. the money I lost was my emergency fund and a loan from my mother. It sickens me to right it. I dont want to be told it'll be ok and I'm not after any pity. I just want to be honest. If I cant be honest to a computer forum how can I be honest to myself.

    CHANGE SUBJECT....
Blistering blue you were an 11 handicap? thats very good. I'm 19 and have struggled through the winter months to try and maintain that standard to really push on this spring/summer

Sorry to hear your bad news PD, stay strong, you are the only person that can beat the compulsion.

Back to golf, I've not played since Sept, but I know first game I'll be around 18 and within a couple of rounds will be down around 13 again. I infuriate the society because its so steady eddie I won both comps last year, lol. Our main crack though is a lads weekend in July, we always pick a hotel with a golf course and then just roll up Friday morning and depart on the Sunday, a little worse for wear, but well fed and watered :-)
