Tesco Hudl

Options
does anyone know if Tesco plan to bring out a larger hudl? - I cant afford an iPad air but, with my eyesight, I prefer the larger screen of the iPad, just been to Tesco to look at the hudl but the 7" appears small

There is going to be a HUDL2 - but no details have been made public or when it is likely to be available other than 2014.

There are many tablets outside those 2
    We have a 7 & 10" Android tabs
Personally I think 8-9" is the sweet spot for holding a tablet.
7" is fine for light use. 10 gives good screen space

the reason for a tablet is that my kindle has broken so rather than pay for just a kindle I thought a tablet with the kindle app downloaded would give me better value. I don't want to watch films on it, but use it for internet access, email etc & reading my ebooks when away from home, sometimes I find the pages of internet on the iPhone too small to read

How about an 8 inch samsung galaxy tab3 from Asda direct? With £70 off codes it is little more than a hudl - £129

The Kindle only has a 6 inch display
Life is like a box of chocolates - drop it and the soft centres splash everywhere

I know so the Hudl would be an inch better, I have enough Tesco clubacrd vouchers that I would only have to actually pay £24 cash - my friend has an iPad & showed me her kindle books on it, so much better that the kindle itself, just wish I could affoed the iPad

What about an old iPad Mini? Non Retina as these are dropping in price.

You can get the Kindle App on any Android Tablet as well unless there was something else you like about the iPad?

Have you considered the Kindle Fire HD 8.9"?

It's technically a tablet. £169 (without Special Offers (adverts)). £10 less if with the adverts. I have a 10% voucher which might still work if you want it.

thank you for the kind offer but I'd be wary on buying another kindle as my one didn't last 21 months

That's kinda why Amazon have been known to replace 3 year old kindles. Fit for purpose and all that ....

Hudl is not an insanely good tablet or anything, but it is excellent value with the vouchers. There are plenty of other tablets out there. Keep saving the vouchers, if there's a 10" it'll cost more...
