Argos unspecified laptop.. please help

Options
Hello..I was wondering if anyone could help. My laptop has just broken and I need a new one asap.. I only use it for watching videos, Skype, bit of Photoshop and word processing.. I've looked on Argos and seen this
http://www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/1096855/c_1/1|category_root|Technology|33006169/c_2/2|33006169|Laptops+and+PCs|33007795/c_3/3|cat_33007795|Laptops+and+netbooks|33014243.htm

But it doesn't give the model..does Argos always do this?

I've had a look around and I think it maybe this model 15.6" Series 3 Notebook 750GB HDD NP350V5C

Does that sound about right?

What is the difference between a laptop and a notebook?

Also the specs on Argos don't mention a webcam..surely all laptops now have in built webcams ?!??

Webcam is most important as my family live abroad
Any advice welcome

Thank you

My old laptop just wouldn't turn on this morning..I've tried following a few online ideas but nothing... Clicks when I switch it on
The fan runs for two second then silence

To be fair, its four years old, gets alot of use, and for the past year has
Been running very very slow even after I got it cleared out.
Also the fan is so loud it drowns out Skype

Thank you.. Out doesn't list it has a webcam..that's what worried me
Why would it not have a webcam listed if there was one?

getting on a bit ........ but before you decide to buy again it might be worth a look for repair costs........

I have used a company called lapcure in the past, and they have been very good.

If you think it is worth an email / call for costs then google them for a quote.

    good luck

It looks like it has a camera at the to of the monitor, but that's no guarantee of course! You could also consider a £10 separate webcam if it turns out not to be one? As for why not day so in the specs, those are very lightweight specs, the kind you might find in a catalogue listing showing just the highlights. Based on those highlights though it's a pretty fair machine for daily use.
