Negotiating New BT Broadband Contract

My father has to renew his broadband contract soon. He is insistent that he is staying with BT but wants a good deal. I realise that this is not the best position to start negotiations (BT don't need to know he is a definite customer).
My question is what is the best deal that people have managed to get with BT for unlimited normal broadband (he is not in an infinity area).
Has anybody managed to get any good extras thrown in free hub 4 etc?
I am interested so that I can give advice on what he should aim for price wise.
Thanks for any help (I know loads of firms offer cheaper deals than BT but he is adamant that he doesn'y want to switch due to worries about downtime in service)

The best thing to do is to ask to be put through to cancellations and see what they offer.
You can then use that as a bargaining point.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
Could you suggest to him that he switches to Plusnet - they are owned by BT but (in my case at least) you can get a cheaper service, and you don't have to deal with the overseas call centres that were one of the worst things about being a BT customer.0
