in Techie Stuff
As a non techie person I will try and explain my problem as simply as I can. I use explorer and google search (not chrome) and up until today, whenever I opened a new tab the google search page which appeared would contain a table of boxes containing quick links to my most regularly used websites. I loved this facility and found it really useful - much easier than looking in favourites all the time! For some reason when I logged on today that facility has disappeared and all I get now is the single google search box. I can't remember doing anything to change my settings. Can anyone tell me how to get this facility back please?

somebody been Inprivate browsing \ deleted the history?0

Inprivate wouldn't delete the existing history, it just doesn't add the stuff you browsed to during the Inprivate session to the history.
If you click on the Favourites button, then the 'history' tab, does it have anything in there?0 -
With a very simple Registry edit you can even change the number of rows of visited sites from the default 2 up to a maximum of 5 rows. I've set mine to 4 which looks fine on my display.
