How long is a piece of string (or an ISA transfer)

So, a week after my fee waiver from HL the forms have gone in the post to Cavendish. I've never been involved with a S&S ISA transfer before, so any guesses as to length of time it will take?
IANAL etc.

Anything from 4 to 6 weeks depending on how fast HL is with the paperwork. I transferred funds and cash/cash isa, and even the cash needs a week to clear before you can re-invest.

The whole thing needs a regulator edict, like changing current accounts.
  • That's a stupidly long amount of time, in which case I'll send them a message telling them what I've done (in case they try and wriggle out of the month's free exit time they gave me)
    IANAL etc.
