Just had my renewal notice from United Utilities for Water charges for 2014.
Included in the envelope was a flyer which said 'We've got good news'
it goes on to say ' This year, recognising that bills are increasing in many of life's essentials we want to do our bit to help. That's why we have included a discount in your enclosed bill as '2014 special discount'. it goes on to say that 'We hope at a time when budgets are stretched, this is a bit of welcome news'.
I excitedly looked at the enclosed bill to fine that my 'Special Discount' amounted to £5.00. However my monthly payment has increased from £65.80 last year to £68.11 this year.
I hope that no other suppliers give me a 'Special Discount' as i don't think I can afford any more of them.
