NPower account close

Hi I could do with some help.

I switched my account away from npower in November when my account was in credit by over £600. 3 months later my money hasn't been refunded despite me contacting npower 3 times chasing it.:(

Anyone got any ideas how to extract the balance from them?

  • write to the ceo registerd/sign for del giving them 7 days to repay or you will sue them, worth a try
  • I am exactly same position as you we switched in November with over £300 credit, and still waiting for final bill and refund due.my last bill from them was October so we should only owe a small amount for the month to when we switched. I have rang 3 times and got through only once( other times on hold to long and gave up) promised a final bill will be issued within 10 days and refund sent by check still nothing. They never reply to emails ,now looking to put complaint in as high as possible possible CEO.
  • Thanks scottygirl. Their message system appears to be designed to delay anything actually getting done. Automated response saying they'll reply in 10 days. Grrrr.

have you checked they have the final read from your new supplier?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • I checked with my new supplier last month and yes the final reading was submitted in November . N power seem to do this all the time just seen another post started tonight about same problem as with all these big companies things are different when we owe them money.
  • I am having the same problem. I switched away from nPower to EDF and I am still waiting for my final bill from November 2013.

To make matters worse, nPower are claiming that my inital meter reads are wrong and the account is in dispute!
  • I phoned NPower last night to chase again. Got an automated reply saying they would call me back in 39 minutes. It didn't happen.

    Hello Rarn,

    Thank you for your post.

If you could send me your details on an email to the address on my profile page I will look into your account and chase up your final bill.

    Thanks
