Grrrr Brand Match

Been a fool again and paid full price for going out of date reduced stuff via brand match.
I use brand match to my own advantage I plan some items (things like coffee/alcohol/cat food etc) I am buying to get the maximum vouchers. But and not for the first time I made a simple mistake. I bought a branded item which was reduced because it was going out of date. Sadly however they brand match it against the full price, now I know they do this and normally if it is a brand match planned purchase I either do not buy any of the close to sell by date reduced items or put them through separately to make sure they do not affect my voucher.
Sadly tonight I made the mistake again and instead of a £4 voucher I got a £3.05 one because the item which had been reduced by 95p they took that 95p off my brand match voucher because they priced matched it against the full price at Tesco.
Agggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh
Just another pointer for those who can be bothered do a little research on brands you are going to buy and know your prices. If shopping at Sainsbury's remember Brand Match is on Tesco or ASDA not both but the cheapest of the two for the total. So make sure you only buy Tesco best value items alone and ASDA best value items alone if you want to maximise your vouchers.
It is worth more to me to do this as I am employed by Sainsburys so I get the staff discount at the Sainsburys price but get the full voucher at the ASDA/Tesco price and then get discount again when I spend the voucher so let us take Baileys which is £3 cheaper at Tesco. £18 - 10% -£3 + 10% (£3.30) so the Baileys ends up costing me £12.90
Vent over.......

I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
