have downloaded firefox and installed but getting this message
Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.yahoo.com.

* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.


using internet ex 6 and windows xp home
switched windows firewall off but still no joy .. any help please

yes using ie now to post this reply with no problems

Have you checked the settings are right in firefox as to what they are in ie, things like the dns settings

Are you behind a proxy ? Are you using this at home or at work, alot of work place's require you to enter a proxy setting to get online . As do some home isp's

not sure where to find settings as i am not that advanced. using bt broadband as connection. if that is any help .. thanks for replying and trying to help

not what the problem could be, when i installed firefox for the first time i didnt have to change anything to get online
