With three toilets here, but only two of us, I feel like I'm constantly cleaning a toilet :(. We have incredibly poorly designed water saving toilets (new build) and if someone does something other than wee in them, and isn't sat in exactly the right spot then I need to clean them :(. In fact even if they are sat in the right spot, used toilet paper thrown in the wrong spot can still mean that I have to clean it...

If you are changing your loo, please don't get Ideal Standard water saving loos, they are truly dreadful, otherwise you will share my pain. Everyone on this estate hates them.
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!
  • I live by myself so I'm not cleaning up after other people. I chuck some bleach down when I remember. Certainly not several times a week or anything like that.

I give it a wipe over and put bleach down the toilet every day.

Inform the other one that they need to clean up afterwards! Why would you have to clean that for them? _pale_

We are a once a week house here: seeing as I'm the only one to ever actually clean the bathrooms they're done to my schedule. Everyone wipes the loos as required after their visit, and they get black Harpic (or own brand equivalent ;)) weekly and a scrub with an old sponge scourer on its way to the bin. I can't use bleach at all as the choking fumes give me migraine but I rather like the minty- fresh aroma of the denture tablets working their magic.
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
  • Oooo 2 toilets here. Beached everyday and wiped around with a good scrub all over every week, unless someone has missed!!!!!
Grocery spends £193.44/ £70 per week or £303 per month
  • Putting some Harpic round the rim of the toilet once a week and giving a quick scrub with the toilet brush seems to keep my toilet nice and clean, but I guess it depends on how many people live in your house. May need to do it every couple of days to keep limescale and germs at bay.

I put bleach down and a wipe around the seat/lid once or twice a week, a full scrub once a week.
  • Another once-a-weeker here. But, not completely off topic, how often do you clean your keyboard?
