Why would you want to sell your house at less than market value and then pay rent to live in it? Surely whoever bought the house would charge rent that is related to what the house cost them (otherwise they would end up going broke) and so the rent may cost as much as what you were originally paying in mortgage repayments.

If it is a case of having overstretched yourself on the mortgage, then surely either downsizing or switching to an interest only mortgage for a while would be the better options?

    Confused!! :undecided

hey there! i'm not surprised you are confused - you just fabricated a whole senario that i didnt even mention

i'm after a quick sale - as it stands i own a flat, my b/f is renting and we joint rent another one - we only need one and selling to one of these companies is sometimes youre only choice, and if that means taking less than true value then so be it - you've got to think whats really important sometimes, and its not always money but where you are.:D
I've sold to a property company before and I have no complaints.

I need to sell now within 2 weeks - i couldnt do it anyother way bar a property company:confused:
these companies have their uses is all i'm saying for some people, others they can afford to wait and the money means more and they may be in a nice setting, no hurry to move -some of us are,and i for one am gratefull these places exist. :T

Its just a shame so many of them are scammers or conmen though!!

If you dont mind getting about 80% of the property value (as you say - in some cases the money is less important) and need a quick sale then maybe....
