How come everyone is assuming the advisors was referring to universal jobmatch when saying there were 200 jobs available it could have been any website or a few different ones combined.0

The jobcentre does fund for flt licenses but your on the work programme so any funding for courses serf would need to come from them.
The funding is not from JCP or WP but is funding the provider (usually colleges) receives for providing the course from their central SFA contract in the same way they do for NVQs or Apprenticeships etc. It was recently added to the list of courses available for funding including Food Safety & First Aid courses.0 -

But in any case it's a moot point because whatever they may have shown wasn't sufficient as OP stated advisor said they had not applied for enough jobs.
Only the OP can tell us and if they also wont tell us how many they did apply for (think they are saying the JC have thrown away their booklet as they handed it in too) then we can never say if 200 was a lot or not.
The op hasnt said it was because they didnt apply for enough just that there were 200 jobs to apply for. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Yes they did, from the OPMy advisor said i didnt apply for enough jobs and i had a sanction in december even though it wasnt clear how many i should be applying for. He stated there were 200 jobs on UJ i could have gone for.0 -
sensibleadvice wrote: »No, I'm saying they haven't actively sought work to a reasonable level, hence sanction.
They could have presented evidence of what they had done. They did not. Ergo sanction.
Didnt i oh right.
if i get this sanction overturned will think about brongong a case against them for maladministration.:footie:0 -
Yes they did, from the OP
Forget about did they or didnt they does no one here think the JC have to prove there were these 200 jobs and show them? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
So what if the OP applied for 199 and the JC said there were another 200 jobs they could have applied for
Forget about did they or didnt they does no one here think the JC have to prove there were these 200 jobs and show them?
If she applied for 199 then I doubt she would have been sanctioned for not doing enough.
I would imagine that the conversation went something like
OP Here's my evidence of what I've done in the last fortnight.
JC You only applied for X jobs, that is not sufficient.
OP There was nothing else I could apply for.
JC I've just searched on UJM and there were 200 jobs you could have applied for.
No one says the OP should have applied for all 200 of these jobs (many will have been unsuitable, fake etc), but the fact is that there were jobs there that she didn't apply for when she could have. She's getting money to job seek and her advisor felt she wasn't making enough effort.0 -

Anyway if the above is what happened why wont the OP just say so?
I can tell you if someone said to me in person there were 200 jobs I could have applied for the 1st thing I would say was 'show me' not get up and go home. We’ve had to remove your signature. PROVE THERE WERE THOSE JOBS.
if they were on ujm they were more than likely false anyway.:footie:0
