servicing and upholding warranty
Hi all, if i purchased the service items from the actual main dealer, spark plugs, filters etc. BUT i took my car into my local garage who i trust and are an official inde vat place...do you think the manufacturer could question the labour quality of the mechanics vs. their main dealer as a get out clause for. not honouring their warranty. Car is Hyundai i10 and its 2 years old. Thanks

providing your car is serviced to the manufacturers schedule using genuine spares and fluids to the manufacturers spec it does not have to be done by a manufacturers agent or garage , an indy can do it and it will not effect your warranty. If the car is on any kind of finance from the dealer check the smallprint - this is particualrly the case with PCP agreements where a main dealer service is generally a requirement of the agreement.0

I put my details in here and got a pleasant surprise:

Depends a lot on your postcode and how many dealers are in your area - but it's worth a try.0
