that's correct yes.
there is some info on income support from the CAB website please see below
To get Income Support, you must either not be working at all or work less than 16 hours a week. If you have a partner who lives with you, your partner must work under 24 hours a week. If they work for 24 hours or more, you won’t be able to get Income Support. If your partner is claiming income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance, this will also prevent you getting Income Support.

So am i right in thinking i need to work out whether we would be better off claiming ESA for my husband or Income Support for us both?
If so, would we be entitled to Income Support at the moment (until the PIP comes through?
SO sorry for all the questions!!0 -
You'd currently have no grounds to claim income support.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

If you have no other income and less than £1600 assets, your husband might be entitled to an income-related ESA top-up. He should ask for (or download if it exists online) an ESA3 form which will ask for your/his financial details.
Don't hold your breath waiting for PIP, many people are waiting many months for a decision!0
