I need to get stuck into ours as well

I think a good way is to use martins budget planner as a guide

    then each one per day.

Eg, mobiles - all your statements in order
Home phone, check its cheapest, are you in arrears, cover sheet on the top of the bills dated, where you are up to
rent- anything owed, write it on thefront, get your papers in order and file
    and so on

ONe thing a day ( and some days theres nothing to do) and you should be all sorted in 2 weeks
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Treacle...snow...jelly - yep, I've been through all of those!!!:p I think we all get down days, and when you get them, logging on here and getting support from people who have been there before you really can help!:T

I'm going through a rough patch at the moment. I've just come back from 2 lovely weeks on holiday in the US, but an inability to sleep on the flight back meant the "relaxed" state I had achieved while away was totally history when I arrived back into Heathrow yesterday. Then this morning, I had an appt with the specialist at the hospital (which followed a sleepless night, in spite of the jetlag - this diagnosis might be for something "large" ; I have a follow-up appt next week; but I have told nobody apart from Mr P, my immediate boss at work (in case I need time out of the office suddenly), and now you guys ;) - I don't want to worry my parents/in-laws unnecessarily, and am keen not to tell work colleagues until necessary - so far nobody has noticed a dip in performance so I must be doing something right, eh?!:rotfl: ). However, this doesn't stop me from feeling guilty - we were supposed to drive up to my parents to collect the cat this weekend and we were going to go up this evening, but I called and said we would go tomorrow instead - now I feel guilty because I know that my parents were disappointed (well, they thought that I just had today off work relaxing, so I guess I can see their point of view! ). I can't tell them about my sleepless night last night or my early/busy morning, and I feel dreadful for keeping them in the dark, but don't want to make them worry unnecessarily any earlier than need be...so they think that I had a lie in this morning and did nothing all day (apart from put a few clothes through the washer) and don't understand why I didn't drive 120 miles this evening. In fact, I am knackered (but still can't sleep!) but can't tell them why...:o

On top of all that, my house looks like a bomb's hit it, I have missed practically every family birthday in the last few months (in spite of having cards/pressies bought in advance - my brain's just been on another planet!), and I struggle to get out of bed in the morning and get into work, in spite of the fact that I love my job!

Well, thats my whinge out of the way!! Thanks for letting me join in...:rotfl:

No worries Piglet! I certainly feel better for my moan! Going to visit family for the weekend so I can't get stuck in to my paperwork straight away which is annoying and a little inconvenient but not the end of the world. My priority is to get the council tax bill sorted (gulp)! Calling them on Monday to see what needs to be done.

    Right. Bedtime! Goodnight all!

Thanks for this moan! I think it saya alot about how many people are feeling at the moment. I guess we just need to step back, cut it into manageable chunks & sort! Hope everyone is feeling a bit brighter. We WILL get there - its just going to take longer that we would like!

    This is me too.

Funnliy enough though my office is quite tidy with just the odd c\atalogue and work stuff lying around. I plan my business budget every month but I can't seem to summon the will to do it at home.

I sometimes think that a huge great skip would come in hanyd for the junk I've got lying around at home and in the garage.

Any way just got theincentive to clear the garage a bit. I'm having a new gas meter installed and in its current position, the engineer will never be able to work safely. So in the garage Saturday with OH's kids to get rid of some stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must endeavour to creat time to do my persoanl budgets but it's always funny how the telly beomces more rivetting instead
