My case is 13 years old and has a very long complicated story.
It's easier to explain in the present because it is still ongoing.
Currently , I am waiting for the response from the Upper Tribunal after 2 years in the appeal court where he was disputing £12,000 for 11 years unpaid maintenance but the last hearing was a disaster and a different judge allowed it to be reduced to about £6,000! This I have appealed on SOLID grounds.
Called to day and expecting a response in two weeks.
BUT here is the issue:
He is paying £10 a week at the moment.
His two sons are 16 and 19.
The eldest just left home today (so his should be paid by now!)
So £5 for each child and the arrears (whatever they turn out to be?) a week. Really????
He has been prosecuted following a CSA investigation but whatever he tells the CSA they believe!
He is paying a pathetic amount but living the high life!
While I have lived on the breadline for years and even now he has been pinned down to pay (almost 6 months now!-yippee!) it's going to be years before I ever get paid back.
Before anyone says anything about full advanced payment- I will tell you this.
I have just requested my full case details under DP so I can get all the qualifying points.
So now waiting for that to look through..."The best things in life are free"

Fifteen years ago I left my ex. He refused to pay anything, and despite me putting in a claim to the CSA, writing to my MP, and following up at every turn he wriggled out of ever paying anything - moving from job to job, taking temporary contracts that mysteriously finished when the CSA caught up with him, etc.
During the early years he used Legal Aid to fight me for residency - this cost me over £13,000, however I won, thank heaven as the judge saw through my ex's lies and deceit.
This man who had sworn under oath that he was the best person to look after my little girl had access any time he wanted, and I used to take her to him for access. My daughter is now a grown adult, with a good job and a university degree. Her father rarely contacts her. He has let her down many times and I think now she recognises for what he is. I feel that he and the CSA let my daughter down. Am I bitter? No, not any more. It is all his loss.0 -

But I thought there are no jobs, let alone the multiple this guy seems to get. Perhaps he can be a careers advisor over on the Benefits Board as jobs are as rare as hens teeth according to the posters over there.
Seems like if you're addicted to benefits there are no jobs, if you're dodging CSA then you can find 3 every year!0
