Best home hair dye for hair colour of very dark brown that doesn't come out black?

I use L.'Oriel perfect 10 in number 4 dark brown. I guess the colour you achieve will depend upon your natural colour. Mines a very dark blonde (like mousey grey but not brown). Tbh I usually go for the chocolate brown but my hubby bought this one by mistake and it's rather dark but not Black! hth

I'm originally mousey hair colour but go for a dark blonde colour non permanent nice and easy because the light brown is very very dark. I find non permanent gradually fades out rather than growing out with a light or dark parting.
