My children's primary school has recently been awarded academy status and apparently they have a sponsor as they were rated 'must improve' by ofsted.
I know the head has been approached by a mum and the school and she asked who was the sponsor and was told in no uncertain terms that 'you do not need to know'
With a Headteacher with that attitude, no wonder the school isn't rated well by OFSTED!
The minutes of the Governers' meeting should be available for parents to read. It might be worth going through a few of those to learn about how the school is being run.0 -
Good call I will request those too.
Just sent a request to the LA and the school for sponsor details under the freedom of information act. I will sort this one way or anpther, she is a sorry excuse for a head.
Thanks everyone for all you suggestions.0
