Who offers best account for a young saver

Hi
My daughter is looking for a bank account, she is just 16 and saving for driving lessons and a car next year.

My question is which banks are offering the best terms for young students still at school at the moment.

Thought some of you may have been down this route recently :)

Thanks

Annoyingly your daughter appears to fall into a gap where some offers are not available: she's too old for Children's accounts, and is not yet in higher education so doesn't qualify for Student accounts. And I expect she won't be earning enough to open one of the high interest rate current accounts. So she may be restricted to the best buy savings accounts in the article linked to below (and even then they may not always be available to under 18s).

I got a Lloyds under 19s account (sorry, can't post links). It offered a good rate of interest and discounts on AA driving school.

Barclays also offer a similar age account, but I can't see many benefits of this one...
