Tablet for web browsing/Sports

Options
I have read every review under the sun and I am still not decided on which tablet is best suited for me. At the moment I leaning to towards an Ipad not because I think they are the best but for some reason I like the shape of the screen. I have had a Nexus 7 and although I liked the fact that I could put it in my pocket, I found the screen a bit small for the length of time I tend to stay online. I have also have a Samsung Tab 2 10.1 when they first came out which was okay but I found the tablet a tiny bit heavy and I didn't like the shape of the screen. My uses are just really web, although I do like to watch a lot of football match's and sports events online (BT etc) hence the screen shape/layout is quite important to me. Any thoughts?

What is more important? Pocketability or watching at home? You basically need to decide if you want a seven or ten inch tablet.
If 7 inch and you're happy with Android, then the Nexus 7 has a beter res screen than the iPad Mini.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

How does 8" grab you. Before Christmas I bought a Samsung Galaxy from Curry's/PC World who at the time were £179 I think (the cheapest) but if you look at https://www.hotukdeals.co.uk I'm sure someone recently posted they were cheaper now.

Anyway, this companies details/description/specification are in my opinion, better then Samsung's own:-

come back and let us know how things go. Coincidently I bought a cheapie wrap-around case from one of the phone shops.

PS, don't know why the link is showing the site super large, it aint of my doing.

A 7" screen is to small for my needs. When I go up to a 10" screen my options get smaller but I prefer the viewing experience of a larger screen.

I did actually look at that deal a couple of weeks ago and for the money its very respectable. Didn't get very good reviews though.
  • If you can afford an ipad get one. They're great and get updates regularly.
